The Celtic Festivals celebrate an ancient indigenous way of living on the earth, they honour the Earth as Godess, and guide us towards pausing at these special times to connect with the deeper energies of life. The festivals fall every three months through the year, and invite us to reflect on how we are, on how we're connecting with the Earth, what we're celebrating and grateful for, and how we wish to direct our energies over the next 3 months. Traditionally celebrated as moon festivals, they each now have a set date in the Irish calender and are marked by bank holidays. Wells' four films provide an exploration of the different energies associated with each feis. They offer the viewer ways to contemplate and mark the festivals and invite the viewer to celebrate their own love of the Earth. Wells' work is deeply informed by the important work and contribution of Mary Condren.
